SkillBee is a AI Chatbot based career development platform that helps individuals identify suitable career paths, advance their skills, and achieve career aspirations. It offers a library of learning resources, personalized learning plans, hands-on projects, and industry-recognized certifications. SkillBee also provides career support, including job placement assistance and networking opportunities, to help users reach their professional goals.

A Learning Management System (LMS) is a platform used to create, manage, and deliver educational content while tracking learner progress. It provides an engaging, centralized environment for both instructors and learners, supporting diverse learning experiences such as self-paced courses and interactive sessions.

For SkillStreet, the LMS aims to deliver personalized, immersive learning experiences that foster creativity and career growth. It focuses on providing intuitive navigation, interactive content, and clear progression tracking to ensure a seamless and motivating journey for all learners.

To understand our users, we analyzed competitor platforms and interviewed potential users to map out feature ideation and ensure our solution addressed real user needs.

Less Engagement with Informative Content

 

​Users spend significantly less time consuming informative content, with less than 15% of their total content consumption focused on learning materials. Many found such content to be polarizing, hard to understand, and difficult to keep up with.

Preference for interactive platforms

 

Users showed a clear preference for interactive and visual content. They found it easier to understand and more engaging compared to static, purely informative materials.

About the Competition

To understand our users, we analyzed competitor platforms and interviewed potential users to map out feature ideation and ensure our solution addressed real user needs.

Limited Practical Application

Competing platforms frequently have cluttered interfaces, making it challenging for users to navigate and find relevant content. This creates a poor user experience and leads to frustration.

So what did
I learn?

The wins and the fails. As product designer, I faced a steep learning curve—managing ambitious designs while balancing developer limitations, timelines, and budgets. The trust placed in me allowed me to handle the project from ideation to execution, supported by invaluable mentorship from our founder Bharath.

Moving forwardWithin four months, we successfully developed the MVP to secure the initial round of investor funding. This rapid delivery showcased our efficiency, adaptability, and commitment to meeting challenging deadlines.
